CCo's target market consists of privately held mid-sized companies located in the Midwest, primarily focused on the Tri-State region of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The best candidates will also meet the following additional criteria:
- A business base established beyond the startup phase, with a minimum 5-year track record
- Manufacturing, distribution or service-type businesses
- Annual revenues ranging from $10 million to $100 million
- Additional capital needs under $10 million
- Reasonable expectation of operating profitably within two years after transition begins
- Ability to generate long-term levered returns in excess of 25% for new equity
- New investors will expect exit strategies to be available within 7 years
